Châtel has a good record for Easter skiing. The largest ski area in Châtel, Pré-la-Joux, is largely north / north west facing and keeps snowcover well. There is also fast access to the high peaks of th Portes du Soleil in Avoriaz (at 2400m). The resort also installed many snow cannons over recent years and is very experienced at harvesting and maintaining the runs throughout the winter.
